Edit User

Change the username, username aliases, full name, status, and/or notes section of the user with ID user_id.

Requires “Grant write resource” API permission.

Basic Parameters​

Parameter	Description
Email	The email address of this user.
User ID	User ID to modify.
Username	The new username.

Advanced Parameters​

Parameter	Description
First Name	The user’s given name.
Last Name	The user’s surname.
Notes	An optional description or notes field. Can be viewed in the Duo Admin Panel.
Real Name	The real name (or full name) of this user.
Status	The user’s status. One of:- “active” The user must complete secondary authentication. This is the default value if no status is specified.

• “bypass” The user will bypass secondary authentication after completing primary authentication.
• “disabled” The user will not be able to complete secondary authentication. |
