Palo Alto Firewall

PAN‑OS is the software that runs all Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls. By leveraging the key technologies that are built into PAN‑OS natively customers can have complete visibility and control of the applications in use across all users and devices in all locations all the time.

Creating a Palo Alto Firewall connection​

To create the connection you need:

• A Device address
• An API token

Obtaining an API Token​

Follow the Palo Alto documentation on how to obtain an API Token for a PAN-OS firewall instance.

Creating your connection​

1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the Connections page > Add connection. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.

2. Select the Palo Alto Firewall icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appears.

3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.

4. Select API Token as the method to make the connection.

5. Fill in the parameters:

   • The Device address including protocol (http:// or https://). Self signed certificates will work when using the https protocol
   • The API token generated from the firewall

6. (Optional) Click Test Connection to test it.

7. Click Create connection. The new connection appears on the Connections page.
